Video: George Daniel’s Confirms R Kelly "Crossed the Line" With His Daughter
The Internet is all abuzz over recent allegations made by George Daniel’s, the former friend and father figure to R. Kelly. For those of you who don’t know George Daniels, he is a Chicago area music retailer most notably known for the shout out and cameo appearance of his name/presence in R. Kelly’s Step in the Name of Love song & music video. R. Kelly says at the end of the song, “Regina and George Daniels I love you baby”.
Regina Daniels, the former longtime publicist to R. Kelly, relinquished her role in his organization in late 2007 stating, “Mr. Kelly crossed a line that forever altered the scope of our relationship”.
Until now the issues surrounding her departure were unknown.
Mr. Daniels talked recently with Guy Black, morning show host of KJLH radio station in LA about R. Kelly’s relationship with his 21 year old daughter Maxine and why he has decided to speak about it.
In response to the allegations, a spokesman for R. Kelly’s issued a statement to TMZ.com stating:
“It’s hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly’s relationship with Mr. Daniels’ adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship — indeed, they encouraged it — while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly’s payroll”.
Do you think R. Kelly’s actions were inappropriate? Will these latest allegations affect his trial and upcoming music projects?
