Not only has N.Y. Governor Eliot Spitzer been involved in a sex scandal of late, a prominent black politician has been caught as well. Kwame Kilpatrick, the Mayor of Detroit is fighting off calls for his resignation due to the discovery of his relationship with his chief of staff Christine Beatty.

The relationship was discovered after the Detroit Free Press, the local newspaper found inappropriate messages between the mayor and his aide that were sent by the two of them from their government issued Blackberry phones. View the video below for more info on the story:

After the story first leaked the Mayor held a press conference with his wife where he admitted to the relationship:

Health Report: Black Tea Helps Fight Diabetes

Affecting more than 3.2 million African Americans each year, diabetes is currently considered an epidemic in the African American Community. Many of us have it and don’t know it.
