Last week we posted photos of the black celebrities attending the Behind The Lens Awards ceremony honoring Spike Lee. With longtime friends like Rosie Perez and Damon Wayans looking on Spike Lee’s was honored for his work, receiving the 6th annual Behind the Lens Award. See video footage of the event here:

Leona Lewis has become the first British woman to hit number one in the US for more than 20 years.

For those of you who don’t know who Leona is, she is the winner of the British version of American Idol. She has a very beautiful voice and reminds me a lot of Mariah Carey. Leona made her U. S. debut on Oprah with Simon Cowell from American Idol recently. Here is video of her for your viewing pleasure:

Sad news out of Cleveland today…Singer Sean Levert, son of Eddie Levert has died. Sean was a member of the Levert R&B group with his late brother Gerald & childhood friend Marc Gordon. The media is reporting Sean died while in police custody as he was just beginning to serve time for failing to pay child support . Our condolences go out to the family.
