Mariah Carey Overload: Pics From Good Morning America, Empire St. Building & Tennessee Premiere

The marketing and pr departments at Def Jam have been working in overtime as Mariah Carey has been seen all over the place over the last couple of weeks. It seems like I post pictures of her at one event or another every other day now. Mariah is out and about supporting her latest disc E=MC2. Here are some shots of her (and a few other folks are thrown in the mix) at some of the events she attended this weekend:

Good Morning America

Mariah looked A-M-A-Z-I-N-G during her performance at Good Morning America on Friday. I can’t even hate on her… she looks good. She says she’s been dieting and working out and it show.
Empire St. Building

Mariah Carey, wearing her favorite color of Lavender, enjoys the view of Manhattan from the top of the Empire State building after taking part in a ceremonial building lighting ceremony to promo her new album E=MC2 on April 25, 2008:

The Chairman and CEO of Def Jam LA Reid was there to support at the lighting ceremony.

Is that Da Brat in the background? She’s also been everywhere with her girl doing the promo thing. I wonder when she plans to change her image and come out with some new material? Moving on…

“Tennessee” Movie Premiere & Afterparty

Mariah also has a new movie coming this year that has premiered at the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival. The movie is called Tennessee and it is a produced by by film maker Lee Daniels and executive produced by Damon Dash. Mariah plays an aspiring singer in the movie who escapes an abusive husband and flees to Tennessee to start her singing career. The reviews I’ve been reading have been good so far and may help Mariah advance her film career since we all know Glitter didn’t do so well. Here she is looking laid back this time for the movie and after party:

I see Halle and Whitney aren’t the only ones “getting their groove on” with a young thing. I am not seeing this union but if one thing is for certain…Nick Cannon must have some kind of game if he keeps pulling “high quality chicks” like these. First Christina Milian, Selita Ebanks now Mariah? If they like it then I love it. What do you think?
