Pics: Def Comedy Jam Los Angeles Kick-Off

Black celebrities came out in force to support the kick-off of Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam 32 City Tour. Here are pictures of some of the celebrities that came out:

Stan Lathan is a longtime producer of Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam. He also brought out his wife Marguerite to celebrate the occasion with him.

Cedric the Entertainer also came out

So did the real Antwone Fisher along with his wife

I hope this is a wig and not a permanent “do” for Malinda Williams. I LOVE her hair short, but then again I guess we all need a change every one in a while.

“Soul Food” Actor Rockmond Dunbar came with his wife Ivy

Victoria Rowell had a different look going on

She is still a pretty lady though.

Baltimore/Washington was represented pretty well. In addition to Taraji P. Henson who hails from the D.C. area, Baltimore Native and Roland Park Country School alumnus Nicole Ari Parker made a red carpet appearance:

Along with Baltimore area resident (who just happens to be the daughter of Richard Pryor):

Rain Pryor

I guess Jenna Bush isn’t the only famous daughter to call Baltimore home. As if it really matters or anyone cares…the blonde bush twin just settled on a house in the Federal Hill area of downtown Baltimore with her fiance who she’ll be marrying sometime in May. He recently accepted a position with BGE’s parent company Constellation Energy. Expect for your gas bill to triple in the very near future.

There was also something or “someone” I should say…who showed up unexpectedly on the red carpet. It was none of other than:

Mister “I like to call black people racist epithets” Michael Richards.

He is better than me because I wouldn’t have been caught dead around that many black people in one place if I had have said what he said last year.

Oh well, I guess he showed “for spiritual healing” purposes!

Until next time,
Janis
